SOFFA Support Group
The SOFFA Support Group is a drop-in style group for people in relationship or partnership with transgender and gender expansive people. While the support group is not a therapy process group, it may be therapeutic. Each group member will have an opportunity to share, connect with others, and explore their relationships with transgender and gender expansive people. The trained group facilitators create space to acknowledge and meet each member as they are while also providing evidence-based knowledge about transgender and gender expansive people that promote mental health for all. This is a Rocky Mountain Equality group hosted in partnership with Umbrella Collective.
Brooke Rundle, LPCC (she/THEY)
BROOKE’S therapeutic approach is grounded in Attachment Theory, Multicultural Humility, and Relational Cultural Theory. I believe that nobody embodies only one identity, and everyone is unique and complex with multiple and overlapping identities. I am committed to embracing a philosophy of cultural humility that advocates against issues of racism, classism, ableism, homophobia, and transphobia. I provide individual & GROUP counseling to support clients with self-acceptance, body neutrality, navigating the coming out process, overcoming internalized oppression, healing relational wounds, and cultivating holistic wellness.
BILL HEASTON (HE/HIM)
I am a seasoned social worker who has a passion for supporting youth and families. After receiving both my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Social Work, I spent the majority of my career supporting kids and families in a variety of systems including public schools and state entities. I am passionate about supporting our unhoused LGBTQIA+ youth, and spent many years developing mental health services for kids and families. Most recently, I worked in the field of suicide prevention throughout the State of Colorado. My approach is person-centered and one that relies heavily on strengths-based concepts. I believe in honoring my client’s lived experiences and supporting them through their journey with a relational approach. Empowerment, self-acceptance and a move toward radical change drive my work with clients.
