Intersecting identities that inform my practice: I identify as a white, queer, able-bodied cis-woman.

Background & Approach:  I believe that all people deserve to feel seen, heard, and understood. Building a consistent and trusting relationship with clients of all ages is critical to my approach and I take pride in offering a warm, safe, non-judgemental environment for every individual.  When working with children and adolescents, I strive to be the person I wish I had in my life when I was younger, and being able to offer that as a therapist is the bright spot in my professional life.  I use a client-centered approach believing that the client is the expert in their own experience and that as their therapist I am there to stay curious and hold space for whatever arises.  When working with children, I use play therapy, emotional regulation and mindfulness skills, along with parent coaching and family therapy.

My background in the social work field has involved supporting adults with substance use disorder, working with children and adolescents in a therapeutic after school program, offering therapeutic mentoring to teenagers, and providing therapy and clinical case management for children and their families utilizing intensive in-home services.

Theoretical & Clinical Orientation:  My clinical orientation is integrative, using psychodynamic and systems theories with client-centered, attachment based, and trauma-informed approaches.

Outside of Work: I enjoy taking walks in my neighborhood, at parks nearby, and hiking in the mountains with my partner and our sweet dog.  I also enjoy playing basketball, listening to music and podcats, working on my meditation practice, and keeping up with the news and pop culture.
